Congresses are a key element for Nanobiotix to publish scientific data and results. This section lists abstracts that have been published by Nanobiotix over the last decade.

2018 – ASTRO – NBTXR3 Exploratory Dosimetric Study

NBTXR3, injectable hafnium oxide nanoparticles, was designed to increase the energy deposit of the irradiation when activated by radiotherapy for the treatment of solid tumors. It is currently evaluated in a phase II/III clinical trial in soft tissue sarcoma (STS) [NCT02379845] of the extremity and trunk wall, to compare its efficacy when intratumorally injected and activated by radiotherapy versus radiotherapy alone. […]

2018 – ASTRO – NBTXR3 in solid tumors

To improve radiotherapy (RT) in terms of tumor response and to reduce irradiation of healthy tissues, innovative therapeutic approaches are needed. In response, NBTXR3, injectable hafnium oxide nanoparticles, was developed for the treatment of solid tumors. Once injected intratumorally, NBTXR3 can deposit high energy within tumors only when activated by an ionizing radiation source, like current standard RTs. […]

2018 – ESMO – Phase II/III NBTXR3 in STS

NBTXR3 is a first-in-class Hafnium-Oxide nanoparticle intratumorally (IT) injected. When activated by radiotherapy (RT), it allows for a higher energy deposit than RT alone, yielding an increased tumoral cell death. A phase I study in soft tissue sarcoma (STS) showed that a single NBTXR3 IT injection at 10% of the baseline tumor volume with preoperative RT was technically feasible with manageable toxicity and clinical activity was observed. […]

2018 – ASTRO 2018 – Phase III NBTXR3 in Soft Tissue Sarcoma

A subset of soft tissue sarcoma (STS) patients achieve significant therapeutic benefit from preoperative radiotherapy (RT). Yet, this treatment paradigm may be associated with limited efficacy and increased toxicity, highlighting the necessity of novel multimodal therapies aimed at local control with few adverse events (AEs). NBTXR3 is a first-in-class Hafnium-Oxide nanoparticle. […]

2018 – ESMO – NBTXR3 in HCC and Liver Metastasis

For patients (pts) with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) or liver metastasis (liver mets), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) is a well-tolerated option. Yet, the risk of injury to normal tissues limits the ability to efficiently sterilize tumor cells. Thus, hafnium oxide nanoparticles, NBXTR3, were developed, which increase the interaction of radiotherapy energy dose deposition within tumor cells when activated by an ionizing energy source like SBRT. […]

2018 – ASCO – NBTXR3 in the treatment of liver cancer: a phase I/II trial

With recent advances in radiation delivery techniques, an increasing number of cancer patients undergo radiotherapy. However, due to the non-targeted nature of radiotherapy, doses are limited by potential toxicity to surrounding normal tissue. Thus, a major challenge remains to develop new strategies to improve the tumor selectivity of radiation therapy. […]
